Interlakes Health has been offering digital mammography since December 2009. Our up to date digital mammography department has passed a rigorous inspection process to become accredited by the American College of Radiology, certified by the New York State Department of Health and meets all aspects of the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
Mammography images are interpreted by board certified radiologists from Adirondack Radiology Associates of Glens Falls and are also scanned by a computer aided detection system that provides a "second look" at the images to insure the best possible interpretation of your exam.
Early detection and treatment of breast cancer can help save lives by finding cancer early; at its most curable stage. Current guidelines recommend screening mammography every year beginning at age 40.
Eligible adults can receive clinical breast exams, mammograms, pap tests and colorectal cancer screenings free of charge through the Cancer Care Services Program. For more information on these services call:
